With a combined fifty years of insurance experience, Damon Nasman and Lee Ann Thompson formed Global Insurance Specialists, LLC (GIS) in January 2000. GIS is a maritime and casualty insurance agency, specializing in the placement of insurance coverages for the often difficult to place coverages, such as boat/yacht manufacturing and/or repair facilities, mega-yachts, factory trawlers and/or longliners, tugs & barges, workboats, Professional Liabilities, Errors & Omissions, Directors & Officers, Employment Practices Liability Insurance, as well as Property and Commercial Automobile Liability.

GIS’s strength comes from our numerous years of experience and attention to detail. We utilize contacts and relationships that we have developed over the years thus allowing us to access worldwide markets for our clients. We pride ourselves with providing a professional yet personalized approach to our clients needs, knowing that without our clients, we would not exist.

We work daily with Marine General Liabilities (including Products/Completed Operations, Shiprepairers Legal Liability, Marine Pollution, Stevedore/Terminal Operators, etc), Workers Compensation and/or United States Longshore & Harborworkers, Hull & Machinery, Increased Value, Loss of Earnings, Protection & Indemnity, Excess Protection & Indemnity, Cargo, Bumbershoot and/or Excess Liability coverages.

GIS places coverage for operations throughout the world, with clients in Russia, Canada, Mexico, South America, as well as the Pacific NorthWest, Alaska and California.
